What's new in Portable SecureCRT 6.7.5 Build 411:
- Bug fixes:
- When the emulation was set to 'Xterm' and the option 'Send scroll wheel events to remote' was set, in vi or vim, it was not possible to scroll down using the mouse scroll wheel.
- Windows: When the system used the Microsoft HID-compliant mouse driver and the mouse was configured to scroll one screen at a time, SecureCRT did not scroll the correct direction when the mouse scroll wheel was used.

This is the portable edition of SecureCRT, a Telnet/SSH client that offers support for SSH1, SSH2, Telnet, Telnet/SSL, Rlogin, Serial, TAPI and Raw protocols. It features secure data transfers and SSH encryption, among others.
The interface of the application is not particularly attractive but comfortable to work with. Users may quickly connect to multiple sessions and enable authentication methods, such as password, public key, keyboard interactive and GSSAPI for SSH2, as well as password, RSA and TIS for SSH1.
It is possible to send and receive ASCII code, Kermit and Xmodem, display a Zmodem file upload list, record and run scripts, use a key map editor, create a public key and convert it to OpenSSH format, manage agent keys, lock and log the session, as well as use a wide range of encryption methods (e.g. AES, Twofish, Blowfish).
As well as options are concerned, SecureCRT allows users to customize appearance details (e.g. status bar, window left margin, chat window history, color scheme), edit firewall properties, use a personal store certificate (CAPI) for SSH2, as well as create a list of accepted host keys for SSH, among other settings.
The application does not put a strain on system resources, as it runs on a very low amount of CPU and RAM. It has a good reaction speed and doesn’t cause the operating system to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. We have not come across any difficulties throughout our evaluation. All in all, SecureCRT provides a user-friendly working environment and advanced settings for a SSH/Telner client.
